[Workshop IPOP] Bridging AI Development and Governance

This event is organized by the EDHEC Augmented Law Institute at EDHEC Business School, as part of the Interdisciplinary Project on Privacy (IPOP), led by Inria. IPOP brings together more than 70 researchers from a dozen European institutions to address a common challenge: responding to the evolving threats to cybersecurity and privacy.

The overarching goal of the day is to bring together legal and technical experts in privacy, data protection, and AI governance to discuss the current state of the art in technology and how existing and upcoming legislation applies to it. This will provide an opportunity to evaluate legislative techniques and implementations in the field of AI from both legal and technical perspectives.

Instead of traditional presentations, the event will feature informal discussions with experts and two workshop sessions designed to pool knowledge and produce a report, with potential for further outputs. The workshop will prioritize interdisciplinarity and feature speakers with diverse backgrounds, including academia, professional practice, and regulators.
